By a fortunate twist of fate, this story—originally serialized on the website Shōsetsuka ni Narō—is now being released as an actual book, and I can’t hide my surprise, thinking, “Truth really is stranger than fiction…”
Originally, this work started with the dubious purpose of "I want to try describing things I find delicious in a way that makes others feel they look delicious too!"—or to be blunt, I started this with the rather silly goal of “I want to make readers hungry with my writing!” I never imagined it would be published as a book!
…Now then. Guided entirely by my ever-greedy appetite, I kept writing this story—how did it taste to you?
Did it make you think, “Wow, that sounds delicious…”? If I managed to make your stomach rumble even a little from the other side of the pages, then my mission was a huge success! (laugh)
