Volume Five, the Author’s Afterword
Thank you so much for picking up this book! Thanks to everyone’s support, I was able to successfully publish Volume 5 of "The Forsaken Saintess and her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World"! I had announced that it would be published in February, but due to various circumstances, the release was delayed, and I sincerely apologize for this. Even so, I’m truly, truly happy to be able to meet with everyone in book form like this.
This time, we finally had an underwater adventure! The Camping Car is versatile in many ways, but who would have thought it would be active even underwater (laugh). I had so much fun writing this fantasy-filled adventure!
The comic adaptation by Kogami Nana-sensei is also being serialized to great acclaim in B’s-LOG COMICS. I hope you’ll enjoy the otherworld gourmet journey depicted in both manga and novel—different mediums!
Also, last December I published a new series called "The Forsaken Sacrificial Noble Lady Tames an Evil Dragon with Her Unique ‘Mail Order’ Skill"! The protagonist awakens to a skill that lets her mail-order otherworld gourmet food, and she enjoys delicious meals with her colorful companions, tries her hand at slow life… It’s a gourmet novel with a different atmosphere from "The Forsaken Saintess and her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World," which is colored by adventure and food.
The protagonist and her cheerful companions can enjoy mail-order gourmet food anytime, anywhere, with just a fingertip. You can read a sample after this afterword, so if you’re interested, please check it out too! (TL’s note: no, you cannot, ha-ha. it would be too cruel to translate just the sample; so for now, I’ll just add this novel to my list for reading and possible translation)
This one also has a comic adaptation by Akira Shun-sensei that has begun in B’s-LOG COMICS! I’d be very happy if you could read both together.
Finally, to my editor W-sama, who I’ve caused nothing but trouble for. To Nito Akane-sensei, who beautifully illustrates both cool scenes and cute scenes. To Kogami Nana-sensei, who brings the characters to life sometimes comically, sometimes coolly. And to all the readers who picked up this book, I offer my heartfelt gratitude.
I dream of meeting everyone again in the next volume.
